Aeroméxico will increase its air capacity from Mexico City to Cozumel

Aeroméxico, Mexico's biggest airline announced an increase in seasonal capacity between Mexico City and Cozumel from November 16th to 30th, because of the demand of visitors that the island receive for the several sports events taking place on Cozumel during that period. The flights will be operated using Embraer 190 aircraft, each with capacity for 99 passengers.

Second Edition of the New York Cozumel Gran Fondo Cycling Race 2015

This coming November 22th, the second edition of the International Cycling Race "GFNY Cozumel" will take place as part of the "Gran Fondo World" racing circuit. Around 2,000 participants can choose between the Middle Fondo 50 miles (80km), which is one lap around Cozumel, or the Gran Fondo 100 miles (160km), which is two laps around Cozumel, while enjoying spectacular views of the Mexican Caribbean.

Ironman Cozumel September Edition

For the seventh year in a row, Cozumel will host the Ironman Cozumel for 2600 competitors.

The 2015 Edition will be held on November 29th and will feature a new straighter and faster route for the swim segment of the race. The competition will start at 6:40am EST in the FONATUR Marina and will finish at the Chankanaab Park. The circuit includes a 2.36 mile-swim (3.8km); 112 mile-bike race (180km); and a 26.2-mile run (42.2 km).
