Turtles nest on the beach at the Cozumel “Meliá Vacation Club - All Inclusive & Golf”

This year the beach at the “Cozumel Meliá Vacation Club” has discovered two nests made by the Caretta marine turtle species. Experts calculate that by mid August 83 eggs will hatch in nest number 001 and 102 eggs will hatch in nest number 002.
“Cozumel Meliá Vacation Club” promotes the conservation of various sea turtle species by implementing special programs with actions carried out on different levels: the beaches are cleaned on a weekly basis, and workers on the preservation project are given special training to make them aware of the importance of preserving this species. All guests are also invited to take part when turtles are released so they can learn about the importance of conserving these members of the chelonian family.
